Adventuress re-opens in February, so if the weather is fine and you feel like paddling, give us a call!  Please find below the trip and course dates for 2012.  If you wish to kayak on an alternative date, feel free to call and reserve a time more suitable for you.

February

Sunny day and the winds are down, call Jan for a tour 250.755.6702.  This gives me an excuse to get out on the water :-).   The panoramic views of the snow capped Coast Mountains are simply fabulous out here in Nanoose!

Believe it or not, people do come out and paddle in February.   Lots of Sea Lions at this time, so Adventuress can take you out to paddle in the bay and view them from a distance. 

Want a little longer paddle, try the Mistaken Island tour.  Just give us a call and we can arrange your paddle.. just call to request your tour.

Sea Lion Tour...we paddle over in the protection of Northwest  Bay to see these amazing creatures.

Mistaken Island Tour - out into the adventure zone... come paddle around the Island, check out the Harbour Seals and bring a lunch.

This month is especially good to come on a Sea Lion Tour.  The herring are running and sometimes we can see up to 100 sea lions on the haul out.  They cavort and play and swim the waters to feed on herring.  As always, Adventuress adheres to wildlife viewing protocols keeping our distance to minimize impact.

The Seamanship Course (an ideal beginner course for kayakers; see under Lessons) begins this month and goes for 5 Thursday evenings.  See more under Lessons.

Athough, most trips are scheduled on the weekends, feel free to come during the week, just call or e-mail to arrange.  Remember, Adventuress will run a day tour or course with a minimum of 2 people, so call a friend and come out and paddle!

Celebrate Easter with your family and have a little 2 hour adventure on the 8th.  Double kayaks are available for parents to paddle younger ones in the front.
